It involves to evaluate one or more properties of interest. The purpose of software testing is to identify errors, gaps or missing requirements in contrast to actual requirements.
A software tester’s job is challenging enough to be interesting. Software testing is different from other jobs that seek specialization in a narrow set of skills. As a tester, you get to develop a wide range of skills. Plus, you can always beat the monotony due to the interesting nature of the job

• Analytical skill - Software tester should have good analytical skills, which will help to understand a complex system, break up into a smaller system and write test cases.
• Verbal and Written Communication skill - To become a good software tester,
he/she must have good verbal and written communication skills. A tester needs to write test conditions, test cases, test strategies/plans, bug reports which should be easy to read and should be understood by anyone. During defect or other follow up tester needs to collaborate with a developer, it will require good communication.
• Basic knowledge of Database/SQL - The software application has a large
amount of data in the background, which stores on different types of databases such as Oracle, My SQL, etc. This data needs to validate, in that case, SQL queries.
• Basic knowledge of Linux commands - Most of the software systems are
deployed Linux machines, hence it is crucial for testers to have knowledge of
